Mercasa is a state-owned company, with 51% ownership by Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales and 49% by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. It operates the world’s largest public network of fresh food markets.

In line with its Strategic Plan for 2025–2029, Mercasa is focusing on becoming more sustainable and innovative while adopting new business models that add value across its entire supply chain. A key part of this transformation is embracing digital technologies.

To support this process, Mercasa partnered with Ayesa to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365. This solution introduces artificial intelligence and advanced automation into its daily operations, helping the company create a more efficient and scalable model to better tackle future challenges.
