The Balearic Islands’ Regional Department for Health and Consumer Affairs sought to transform their website into a dynamic and interactive platform. The objective was to create a central hub that catered to individuals, organizations, schools, and companies.
This platform aimed to assess the overall well-being of the public, encompassing both physical and mental health. Users would have access to valuable resources to improve their health through manageable steps and track their progress.
Additionally, the platform aimed to empower organizations, schools, companies, and associations to initiate, oversee, and evaluate health-related initiatives. Ultimately, the goal was to enhance the health of residents and promote a healthy lifestyle at both the individual and community levels.
To accomplish this objective, the Regional Department for Health and Consumer Affairs initiated the launch of EinaSalut as part of a project worth 530,000 euros, with 50% of the funding being provided by the European Regional Development Fund. Ayesa was selected to develop the solution, incorporating DXP features to enhance personalization, agility, and dynamism, as well as to assist in designing a digital plan for the Department’s public health strategy.
By utilizing Liferay DXP (Digital Experience Platform), the online platform’s quality has significantly improved, resulting in enhanced user navigation. Additionally, it now offers a wealth of information regarding other healthcare services accessible to the residents of the islands.
Commencing in 2019, over 70 individuals from various regional government departments, organizations, associations, and companies participated, from Spain and the Balearic Islands. The commitment towards meeting all deadlines throughout the project was crucial in the project’s successful delivery.
Apart from its original purpose, EinaSalut also gathers extensive data through user questionnaires. This data, linked with users’ postal codes, is then processed and cross-referenced with other information sources including Spain’s National Institute of Statistics. This enables the regional government to gain detailed insights into the health status of specific areas and communities, facilitating effective and efficient decision-making.
Liferay DXP, as a solution, offers numerous advantages over internally developed platforms. The benefits include faster time to market, reduced maintenance costs, comprehensive support, continuous upgrades, and the assurance of a thoroughly-tested product.
Our goal is to provide you with the best services for your needs
