Ayesa helps Mercasa transform its operations with Dynamics 365 and AI
The project marks a milestone in bringing sustainability, automation and innovation to Spain’s food supply chain.
Mercasa, one of Spain’s leading food distribution companies, has recently entrusted Ayesa to modernise and increase the sustainability of its operations. To do this, it has implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365. By bringing AI and advanced automation to the supply chain, the company has ultimately been able to create a more efficient, scalable and future-proof business model.
Dynamics 365: a transformative ecosystem
Mercasa’s digital transformation project has been based on Microsoft Dynamics 365, a platform that combines advanced enterprise management tools and the latest AI technology.
Thanks to Dynamics 365, the company can now anticipate trends, optimise resources and improve the experience of its stakeholders. For example, with Copilot, a set of AI-powered features integrated into the solution, Mercasa has been able to automate repetitive tasks such as managing contracts and generating financial reports. This has freed up staff to focus on strategic decision-making.
Smart automation also means the company can react immediately to changes in the market, thereby ensuring the sustainability of its processes. What’s more, by providing centralised access to data in real time as well as predictive analytics, the solution allows for more effective planning. This has enabled Mercasa to increase the efficiency of its operations as well as minimise its impact on the environment (by reducing waste).
A more sustainable and connected model
The transition to a cloud solution has not only improved the efficiency of Mercasa’s operations; it has also underscored its commitment to sustainability. As such, it has significantly reduced the amount of electricity it uses, in line with global sustainable development goals, as well as optimising its supply chain and market management processes.
Ayesa’s own solutions
As part of the project, Ayesa has customised and implemented a number of its own solutions to work alongside Dynamics 365. These include:
- IB Real Estate 365: for optimising asset, contract and invoice management.
- IB Facturae and IB IRPF: for automating regulatory and tax compliance.
- IB Analytics with Power BI: for data-driven decision-making through advanced visualisation.
These tools have been key in allowing important processes to be integrated into Dynamics 365, thereby ensuring the success of Mercasa’s digital transformation.
